Moon

Read from May 04 to 05, 2013

Laurann Dohner hits another one outta the park with Moon. Our hunky hero finds his happiness..finally.

Description:

Dr. Joyce Yards has never met anyone as irresistible as 466. Their therapy sessions are growing hotter, his raw sexual hunger becoming aggressive, and he refuses to discuss anything except the possibility of getting her naked. Joy understands the dire consequences if she indulges her passion. It will break her heart but she must walk away.

Moon has been drugged, his memory shattered, and he’s now little more than feral, a dangerous threat to everyone. In their need for help, the NSO doctors turn to the only female Moon ever cared about—the one who left him behind two years ago.

Moon isn’t the same male Joy once knew. There are no rules now. If sex tames the wild beast and triggers his fractured memories, allowing him moments of lucidity, then Joy will give him everything, body and soul. She’ll do whatever it takes to save him—even at the cost of her own life.

My Thoughts:

Best Cover EVER!! I mean ...umm...oh yes review the story...sorry got distracted.

Although Moon does follow the New Species formula Laurann Dohner adds just enough difference to each book to keep it fresh yet not move out of the zone that keeps us coming back to this series time and time again. Laurann Dohner has a way of making us connect with the male protagonists that has us loving them, hurting for them, and wanting them. I love how she mixes the males up with some being hard as a rock and others like Moon being more emotional and somehow more approachable. Even when he was having his flashbacks and thinking horrendous things you knew he wasn't going to hurt Joy. The heroes appeal to everything we females love in a man. The female protagonist is a bit more difficult to connect with also I really liked Joy I felt more of a connection with Moon, Harley, Justice etc. I loved seeing some of our NS from previous books and am hoping we see some of the stories of our other favorite NS in the future. The plot is simple but draws you in and doesn't let you go until you finish the book. The read is fast and easy, the flow and pace are perfect for this kind of tale which is why we fans keep clamoring for more and pouncing on them as soon as they are released. No there were not big surprises in this book but it felt like coming home when you read them. You get exactly what you expect..I call this "comfort reading" and I love that the New Species series is like my Mac and Cheese of reading:)

I give this book a solid 4 bears for being everything I want in a New Species book! I can count on Laurann Dohner for a great read with wonderful characters..can't wait for the next one!
